Working from home? Here's 5 ways to save on your electric bill today

March 15, 2020

The coronavirus have you stuck at home? You know what that means - a higher power bill. You'll be watching TV, charging your laptop, washing clothes, and keeping the temperature down. We've put together 5 ways to save during your self isolation, work from home, or quarantined situation.

1. Turn off all lights and unplug anything you're not using

Electronics consume a shocking amount of energy, even when they’re turned off or done charging. Be sure to turn off all lights during the day that aren't essential and unplug the charger when you're not using it.

2. Set your thermostat to 68 degrees in the winter.

In cold weather, the cost of heating your home increases by 3% for every degree over 68. In the summer, you could be paying higher rates just for the season on top of cooling your home which can add up in the hotter months. To combat that we recommend number 3.

3. Order a NRG Savers capacitor to save 25% or more off your power bill.

Literally everything you can think of uses energy and everything in your home that uses energy cost you. A NRG Savers capacitor helps you pay less and consume less energy. They store power and dump power when it's needed. Get yours now and start saving.

4. Wash your laundry in cold water.

No need to use electricity to heat up the water just for your clothes. Did you know washing in cold water will also prevent color transfer? Win - win!

5. Keep your air vents dust and dirt free.

And change your air filter - they haven't been stocking up on those like toilet paper.

Remember, wash your hands and have a great day!
